Dual Heat Elements Scalding vats are designed to heat water in order to scald birds for the butchering process. This unit is ideal for dipping birds in to loosen the feathers before plucking. They are made from molded fiberglass and have a dual heating element that will heat water from 120 to 150 degrees. With two 115-volt heat elements water heats up faster and stays hotter longer. The dual element is versatile allowing one or both elements to be plugged in at a time.
