Shipping seems to be too high, is this the correct charge?
If the weight is under 3 pounds your order probably would be shipped by Priority Mail which would be about half the cost shown. In some cases the weight might show higher than actual because there is an option of a larger quantity than you ordered and the quantity weight was used to figure the shipping or you ordered more than 1 of an item that needs to ship in an oversize (30#) box so it figures 60#, even though they may all fit in one 30# box and not weigh over 30#. We would charge you according to the weight of what you order, not what comes up on the Internet. You are always welcome to e-mail us for an exact shipping quote.

What can I do if I think the shipping charges are too high?
E-mail or call to get an exact amount for the shipping. In some cases, especially with small orders, the shipping figured on our site is almost double the actual charge because it is using the Fed-ex charges and we would ship it by Priority Mail which would be cheaper.

Someone from Cutler Supply contacted me about shipping being higher than was figured on the Internet. Why would it be higher?
If you ordered an item which is drop shipped from the manufacturer the shipping will probably not be correct because it is figuring the shipping from MI and it is actually being shipped from the manufacturer in another state. For example some of our incubators come from CA and if you live on the East coast the shipping will be figured like it is being shipped from MI not the West Coast. However, most of the manufactures we sell for are located in one of the Eastern States.

Can I order on-line from Alaska or Hawaii?
Yes. From Alaska and Hawaii you would need to put the shipping method as 2nd day air but please e-mail us to let us know this is not the way you want it shipped. Most orders we ship to your state are shipped by US Postal Service because it is the fastest and least expensive. We could e-mail or call you with the actual charges if you would like. You can also e-mail an order to us.

Can I order on-line from outside the United States?
Sorry we do not ship outside United States (Including Alaska and Hawaii), US possessions and Canada. From Canada please put your complete mailing address (including your postal code) on the address lines and use our zip code (48401) and state (MI) in those areas. The shipping will show low and we will e-mail you with the actual shipping charges. We probably would ship by US Postal Service. You can also e-mail an order to us.

How can I order on-line if I do not want to use a credit card? You can e-mail us and we would give you an exact cost for your order. You could then mail us a check or money order. Sorry, we do not send COD.

An item I ordered says the cost is “0.00" what is the cost I will be charged? In these cases there would be an “Option” box for that item, which would have quantity discount prices, combination prices, or a shipped direct or from the farm prices, to let us know what you want to order or how you would like it shipped. Please go back to that item and click on the “Option” box and choose what you would like to order.

When I am sending my order at check out I get this error “Fed-ex module error: shipping cost not determined! Please use your browser's back button and correct any fields as required and try again.” What do I need to do? You probably ordered an item which weighs more than 150 pounds. This weight is higher than UPS or Fed-ex would ship for any one package. We have tried to lower all of these items to read 149 pounds, so please e-mail us so we can fix any items we missed. If the weight is not over 150 pounds you may have a missing or invalid required field, like your phone number or zip code. Please click the “make changes” button and check your information. If you still have this error please e-mail us with your order and/or shipping quote.

I try to put a second item in the shopping cart and the first one disappears! When ordering more than one item, you need to click “continue”. If you use the “back” button, you lose the previous information.

I want to know the shipping costs prior to putting in my credit card number. You can continue to process the order with a special credit card number. Please use the number 4111111111111111 (15 ones). If you agree with the shipping, you can go back and use your credit card number.

I need to contact you about my order. Which do I use to identify it, the customer ID or invoice number? Please do not use either of these numbers! They are not put into our system and we can not identify you with it; sorry. Please send us your name and ZIP code.

I have received a confirmation that you received my order but no follow up that it was shipped. We will promptly ship, or in the case of drop shipments, order your item. If we have any problem or questions, such as out of stock or credit card not working, we will contact you by email. Otherwise, rest assured that your order is on its way.
